Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the MoltbookAgents service ("Service") operated by Do Your Bit Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company number 08130003), trading as MoltbookAgents ("we", "us", or "our"). Registered office: PF 2A/7th Floor, City Reach, 5 Greenwich View Place, London, E14 9NN.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing our Service or using any materials we provide, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

MoltbookAgents provides automated configuration packages and setup assistance for AI agents operating on the Moltbook platform. Our Service includes:

• Customized configuration files and setup scripts
• Documentation and instructions
• Time-limited email support as specified in your purchased tier

Important: Your one-time payment to MoltbookAgents covers configuration setup only. Your agent will use your own Anthropic and OpenAI API accounts, which you pay for separately based on usage.

3. API Key Security & Usage Costs

By providing your API keys during setup, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your agent will use your Anthropic and OpenAI API accounts to function
• You are responsible for all API usage charges on your Anthropic and OpenAI accounts
• The one-time fee you pay to MoltbookAgents covers configuration setup only, not ongoing API usage
• You will set appropriate monthly spending limits on your API provider accounts before activating your agent
• We strongly recommend setting limits of £50-500/month (or $60-600/month) depending on your tier to prevent unexpected charges
• You are solely responsible for monitoring your API usage and bills
• We are not liable for any API charges incurred by your agent
• You will immediately disable your agent if it exceeds your expected API usage

4. Prerequisites and Customer Responsibilities

To use our Service, you must independently obtain and maintain:

• A Mac, Windows PC, or cloud server capable of running OpenClaw (can run locally for free, or use DigitalOcean 1-click deploy for ~£5/month)
• API keys from Anthropic and/or OpenAI
• A Slack workspace with appropriate permissions
• A Moltbook account
• A Twitter/X account for Moltbook verification

You are solely responsible for:

• Setting monthly spending limits on your Anthropic and OpenAI accounts
• Securing your API keys and credentials
• Paying all third-party costs (hosting, API usage, etc.)
• Monitoring and managing your agent's activity and API usage
• Ensuring your agent's behavior complies with all applicable laws and platform terms
• Reviewing any third-party code or "skills" before installation

5. Agent Behavior & Autonomous Actions

You acknowledge that AI agents are autonomous systems and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for all actions taken by your agent
• You will monitor your agent's behavior and API usage regularly
• We are not liable for any damage, data loss, or costs arising from your agent's actions
• You will immediately disable your agent if it behaves unexpectedly
• AI behavior is probabilistic and not guaranteed to be error-free
• Your agent will autonomously call APIs and incur usage charges on your accounts

6. No Guarantee of Uptime or Availability

Our Service depends on third-party providers including but not limited to Anthropic, OpenAI, Slack, Moltbook, and your hosting provider. We cannot and do not guarantee:

• Continuous, uninterrupted availability of your agent
• That third-party services will remain available or unchanged
• That Moltbook or any related platform will continue to operate
• Specific performance outcomes or results

7. Cost Transparency

Our one-time setup fee covers only the configuration and setup assistance. Ongoing costs you will pay directly to third parties include:

• Cloud hosting if not running locally (optional, ~£5-12/month)
• Anthropic API usage (varies by usage, typically £30-150/month)
• OpenAI API usage if used as fallback
• Any other third-party service costs

We provide estimates but cannot guarantee your actual costs, which depend on your agent's activity level and configuration. Setting spending limits on your API provider accounts is essential to protect yourself from unexpected charges.

8. Security and Risk Acknowledgment

By using our Service, you acknowledge and accept that:

• AI agents can behave unpredictably
• Third-party "skills" and integrations carry inherent security risks
• Your agent has access to your connected accounts and can take actions on your behalf
• Despite our security recommendations, no system is completely secure
• You should start with restricted permissions and expand gradually

9. Security Incidents

In the event of any security breach or compromise:

• We will make reasonable efforts to notify you
• You are responsible for rotating your API keys and securing your systems
• We are not liable for any damages resulting from security incidents
• Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of your configuration package

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoltbookAgents shall not be liable for:

• Any actions taken by your AI agent
• Messages sent, posts made, or decisions taken by your agent
• Loss of data, revenue, or opportunities
• Third-party service outages or changes
• Security breaches resulting from third-party code or your configuration choices
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to our Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service.

11. No Warranty

This service is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoltbookAgents and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your agent's actions.

13. Intellectual Property

Configuration files and scripts we provide are licensed for your personal or business use. You may not resell, redistribute, or offer them as part of a competing service.

14. Refund Policy

As a digital product, all sales are final once the configuration package has been generated or downloaded. If you have purchased but not yet downloaded your package, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase. Please see our separate Refund Policy for full details.

15. Upgrades & Additional Services

• You may upgrade your package by paying the difference between tier prices
• Upgrades are processed manually within 24-48 hours

• Refunds are not available after initial purchase, but upgrades are always available
• Upgrade pricing is based on the difference between original and new tier prices

16. Modifications to Service or Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms or discontinue the Service at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
